How to Recycle
If the fridge is still functioning then consider giving it to a friend or family member, or donate to a charity or shelter. Re-using any item is always better for the environment than recycling. If the fridge is broken and needs to be recycled check with your local utility company, who will often offer you cash or money off your bill for your old fridge. Failing that, check for any municipal recycling facilities - many towns and cities will even pick up your refrigerator from your home.
